LockPhone Support

Help with app limits, intentional breaks, and focus sessions on iPhone. LockPhone requires iOS 17 or later and Screen Time permission.

Get started

  1. Open LockPhone and grant Screen Time permission.
  2. Choose the apps or categories you want to block.
  3. Set your blocking hours and daily break allowance, then tap Start Locking.
  4. In Settings, choose the days your schedule should apply. Weekdays are enabled by default.

An app is not blocked

Check that Screen Time permission is approved in LockPhone's Settings, that the app or its category is on your locked list, and that the current time and day fall within your schedule. An active temporary break also pauses scheduled restrictions. Open LockPhone to refresh its current state.

Take or end a break

On Now, choose a reason and a duration from 5 to 60 minutes, then slide to unlock. Ending a break early returns unused whole minutes to the daily allowance; at least one minute is charged. The displayed usage reflects elapsed time, not the full amount initially reserved.

Focus sessions

Choose allowed apps before starting Focus if you need to keep access to them. Starting Focus ends an active temporary break and returns its unused allowance. End Focus in the app. A focus session has a 12-hour safety limit.

Background recordings

Rain, ocean, and garden recordings are bundled with LockPhone and play offline. Choose a recording in Focus and use the iPhone's volume buttons. Audio fades out when you end Focus. Source and license links are available in the sound picker.

Reports

Reports count LockPhone's focus and temporary unlock sessions separately. They are not a complete log of every app you use. Tap a day to see its sessions. Report dates use calendar days; the daily break allowance resets at the configured lock start time.

Privacy and control

No account is required. Settings and records are stored on your device. Read the LockPhone Privacy Policy for retention and backup details. Revoke LockPhone's Screen Time permission in iOS Settings to stop it from restricting apps.
